Magazine, campaign & social design
Five to six national events a year, each one needing marketing that looks nothing like the last — and has to be more eye-catching than the last.
BFRS events give the Armed Forces Community the chance to meet and network with employers. They run five to six events a year and need support across print and social media marketing throughout. Steve has handled all of their design work since 2013.
Creating genuinely distinct marketing for every event, often needing a completely different look each time — and each design has to be more eye-catching than the one before it. On top of that, the between-event marketing has to keep the organisation visible when there is no event to promote.
Stay highly creative, watch design trends and apply them to a new layout each cycle, all while keeping the work corporate enough for a military audience. Meetings and presentations through the year keep the design pipeline at least four months ahead of event dates, which is what makes ambitious work possible instead of rushed work. It helps enormously that BFRS are a client who want to push the boundaries with every brief.
Thirteen years of continuous work, and an organisation that stays visibly ahead in its field.
